American singer-songwriter Nicole Scherzinger began her career after auditioning for the reality TV series Popstars, where she would go on to win a position in the girl group Eden’s Crush. The group had minimal success in the United States but disbanded when their record label, London Records, folded. Scherzinger then joined the Pussycat Dolls, a Los Angeles burlesque troupe, in time for their debut as Interscope Records’ brand new girl group in 2005. Her solo discography began in 2006 when she started to feature as a guest vocalist on singles by male artists from around the world. Her solo recordings include one shelved studio album (wifh a new debut album due in 2011); twelve official singles, including six as a featured artist and eight other album appearances. Alongside her solo career, Scherzinger continued recording with the Pussycat Dolls as the group’s lead singer until she left the group in 2011 to continue pursuing her solo career.

PCD is the debut album by American girl group the Pussycat Dolls, released on September 13, 2005 in the United States, by A&M Records. After recruiting Melody Thornton and Nicole Scherzinger and releasing two singles, they released this album. The majority of the album was produced by Ron Fair and Tal Herzberg with other producers contributing: Timbaland, Cee-Lo Green, will.i.am, and Rich Harrison, amongst others.

The album received mixed reviews from critics, mostly criticizing on the covers located in the disc and on Nicole Scherzinger, singing the majority of vocals. The album went top-ten in countries such as Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom and topped the Irish and New Zealand charts. In the United States the album peaked at number five, eventually selling over 2.9 million copies. Worldwide the album sold over 9 million copies.

The album spawned six singles. The first single was “Don’t Cha” which was an international hit topping the charts around the globe. It peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single was “Stickwitu”, it was also a hit reaching top-five in many countries thus it received their first Grammy nomination at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards. The fourth single was “Buttons”, which they collaborated with Snoop Dogg upon its release. It peaked at number-three on the Hot 100 chart. Other singles include “Beep”, “I Don’t Need A Man”, and “Wait a Minute” which gained moderate success.

It incorporates a mixture of contemporary pop/dance/R&B originals, jazz-influenced tracks, and cover versions. The group have cited among their influences, Gwen Stefani, Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul and M.I.A.. PCD is the only album to feature all six original members of the group. It has been ranked at number-one hundred fifty at Decade-End charts in Billboard.

Doll Domination is the second studio album from United States American girlgroup Pussycat Dolls, released from September 19, 2008 by A&M Records. The album debuted at number four on the US album chart, selling 79,000 copies in its first week. Despite spawning the hit singles “When I Grow Up”, “Bottle Pop”, “Whatcha Think About That” and “I Hate This Part” the album underperformed selling considerably less than their previous album, PCD.

Throughout 2009 the album was reissued in several different forms including an EP (The Mini Collection), a compilation (Doll Domination 2.0) and a full bonus track edition (Doll Domination + 2009 Bonus Tracks). The new editions spawned two further singles including the worldwide number one “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)” – the English interpretation of the soundtrack single from the box office smash Slumdog Millionaire as well as the Euro-dance smash “Hush Hush; Hush Hush”.

Doll Domination was the first album released following the departure of group member Carmit Bachar, and was the last album released with group members Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, Kimberly Wyatt, and Nicole Scherzinger.

Doll Domination 2.0 is a streamlined compilation of songs from the 2009 revised edition of Doll Domination. In total it features 10 tracks, 6 from the original release plus the remix of “Hush Hush”, “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)”, “Top of the World”, and “Painted Windows” released exclusively to Australia on April 24, 2009. It was supposed to be released worldwide on April 14, 2009, however, the release was scrapped for reasons unknown.

Killer Love is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Nicole Scherzinger, former lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls. It was released from March 18, 2011 in international markets by Interscope Records, in association with its affiliated record labels. However unsuccessful singles and poor timing led the project being pushed back numerous times into 2008 and 2009. Scherzinger would then go on to shelve the album, citing bad timing and creative issues as the reasons for its cancellation. In 2010, following the release of the Pussycat Dolls’ second album Doll Domination, Scherzinger enlisted Moroccan producer RedOne to produce material for her debut album.
